Overview of Business Process Management
Step 1: Strategize for Improvement
First, step one; strategizing for improvement. This step is all about understanding the current process and where there may be room for improvement.
The goal of this step is to gather all the necessary information about the process in order to identify any problems or inefficiencies. This can be done through interviews with employees, reviewing documentation, or observing the process firsthand.
After gathering all the information, it’s then time to come up with potential solutions. This part can be tricky, as not all problems have easy solutions. But it’s important to be creative and think outside the box when trying to come up with possible solutions.
Once solutions are created, it’s time to prioritize them. It can be easy to come up with possible solutions for every problem that was found, but not all of them may be worth implementing. So, determine which changes you should make first and then put them into action.
That’s it for step one; strategizing for improvement. Stay tuned for the next article where we’ll be discussing step two: analyze business processes.
